Some fatigue has set in today. I had Bible Study this morning and could hardly concentrate. After coming home to feed Stuart lunch I left to have my RT scheduled for 1:15 pm. Having the windows rolled down did help a little. At 2pm I parked the van in the school parking lot to take a nap till the boys came out at 3:05. It helped. I will need to go to bed earlier. Also I think having the RT in the afternoon was a little difficult. Tuesdays are the only days it will be in the afternoon. I usually try to take a nap when little Stu takes his.
I have also noticed since surgery when I am somewhat fatigue my right eye is fatigued as well. It actually aches.
I did asked a few questions to Deb, Dr. Simpsons nurse. My hair loss will be progressive. It will continue to fall out even after the radiation is complete on February 9. As for the burns which I thankfully do not exhibit as of yet, some people have burns while others do not. Keep well hydrated and use Aquaphor 3x daily was the suggestion. Pray I am of the ones who will not have any burns. OK, I will have the look of a greasy head along with hair loss. So if you see me around I do take a shower every day. I am not a grease monkey. Also a great thing to note - I have not needed steroids. That is a huge answer to prayer!
18 more radiation treatments to go.

Kate,
If you think the fatigue will be a problem, remember that I can drive you to and from RT, either on a somewhat regular basis or just on Tuesdays when RT is in the afternoon. It's a standing offer...

I have been mulling over an old hymn that my sister Mary Jo reminded me of last week. She found my Dad singing it along with the radio. The words are timeless.
I COME TO THE GARDEN ALONE
I come to the garden alone
while the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear,
falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses,
And he walks with me,
and he talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
and the Joy we share
as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
He speaks, and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing,
And He walks with me,
and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
and the Joy we share
as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
I'd stay in the garden with Him
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go;
through the voice of woe,
His voice to me is calling.
And He walks with me,
And He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the Joy we share
as we tarry there, None other has ever known...
Just as a reminder to Kate that Valentine's Day is approaching. Grandpa and Grandma's wedding anniversary. They were married durning World War 11. It was always Kate's habit to take Roses to them on that day. They were married over 61 years.
AND HE TELLS ME I AM HIS OWN
It's good to remember Gram
Kate,
I was so glad to learn yesterday that you are in Bible study again. I knew you would want to but didn't know if your RT schedule would allow it.
Also, I was glad to be in Stuart's room for childcare! It was my first chance to get to know him a little. He is very cute and was very cooperative. I suggested he build a tower with Legos, and he did. When it was almost a foot tall, he stood up and kicked it over. I thought "Well, that's a boy for you!"
God has blessed you with 3 wonderful boys! (As you know.)

Psalm 126
When the LORD brought back the captives to Zion, we were like men who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."
The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
Restore our fortunes, O LORD,
like streams in the Negev. Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with him.
Psalm 130
Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD; O Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy. If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared. I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope. My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love
and with him is full redemption.
He himself will redeem Israel
from all their sins.
