God has entered into my life to walk with me. He is not just taking my hand but my heart also on this cancer journey.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. . . . I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him.

This afternoon will be watching the Superbowl game. The older boys yesterday made their own shirts for the celebration. Hopefully tomorrow I will have a great picture to post for you.
Here are the Snodgrass basketball pros.

Kate,
Tomorrow kicks off your last week of radiation! Yay! Next Sunday at this time, won't it be nice to know that you don't have to go into Barnes on Monday?
Your hair must fall forward a little when you have your head bands on and help to cover some of the bald spot as well, because I would not have guessed from seeing you at church that the hair loss extended back that far.
I don't know if it helps at all to know that. (For the record, your head bands are quite fetching! I showed the picture of you and Joe to some people at work...they all thought you looked very styling!)
Praying for the dryness, the redness, and the strength you need to push on,
Erika

Hang in there. You are amazing to me as I see you transformed by God's power. What a work he has already done in you life and in our lives.

You are as beautiful as ever, Kate!
Liliana was hoping to see a picture of Stuart in his new swimsuit. She can't decide whether to wear her monkey two-piece or polkadot tankini. Dating is just so complicated--even at two!
We're looking forward to swimming Thursday morning!
Love you, hair or no hair.
Kate,
Praying for your last week. I'm so thankful the Lord is using you so mightly in others' lives and ours as we share in your thoughts along the way. Thank you for your openness in such a hard time.

I hope you have a fun time. I picked lots of shells for you. Tell Cole I miss him and Carter and Stu. I hope your hair grows back fast. You look really pretty!
Love,

Kate:
I'm laughing about Stuart's new fling...his first case of puppy love! Isaac was ga-ga over a girl named Emma in his toddler play class...every time he mentioned her, he WHISPERED her name in this awed hushed tone, very reverently! I just found out that she is in his Preschool class next year. When I told him, he got this dreamy look in his eye and looked off into space. At THREE! Worries me some. Glad to know mine's not the only one w/ stars in his eyes!
Have a great day!
Although I'm less experienced with this than Kate with all her boys, I would say just get used to the crushes. I realized Joe had a crush on his babysitter when he told me I'd look pretty if I had hair like Miss Amanda (ie. very long & blonde). That was when he was 2. He's 6 now and still adores Miss Amanda. I can't even quite bring myself to be jealous because Miss Amanda is the sweetest, most godly (and yes, drop-dead georgeous) young woman you could ever meet. Hey, at least he's got good taste!
