God's Love for you

Today I am thinking about my last two(less than 2) years of cancer experience...

I remember the long drives of quiet Lord time in the van driving to radiation at Siteman Cancer Center (Washington University). It was a special time of conversation between the God of the universe and ME. Me of all people.

I am considering the following today...What kind of God do we have that would love me so tenderly? And that He would give me the ability to have some sort of relationship with Him? Our God is awesome! Don't you think?

Hope you see His love for you today.

Great post. I often am amazed that God would have wanted a relationship with someone like me. Knowing I would turn away from Him for so many years, yet He pursued me still.

Love the perspective you have. That even though you were going to radiation you made the best of it, spending time with your Father.

Thanking Him for your positive attitude even during your most trying days. It you can see God 's love so clearly in your difficult times, how much more should most of us who can not even really know your difficulties see His love for us!

Hello Kate, My name is Ryan James and i live in Dothan, AL. I recently found out that my sister Mandy had a tumor. It crashed my world, but i sat down and started to pray about it. For some reason i felt God tell me to look up successful tumor stories! so i put in my google toolbar, "successful tumor stories", and this website was the first to pop up. So i began reading about your journey. It has been a big help for me, because everything that Mandy is going through, you have already done. First it was surgery for removal, she did great (like you), but then last wednesday we found out it was a grade 3! (i only knew what that was, from your site) I just want you to know that i believe in prayer, and know God can work through this, and everytime i say a prayer for my sister, your name will also be lifted up. You are an inspiration and an anwered prayer. I wanted to give you my sister's site so that you could also pray for her and know as i am sure you do, that you are not alone. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/mandyjames
Our God is Mighty to Save,

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. Psalm 139:7-10
No matter where we are, He is there- He is faithful- He is loving and kind. He knows our hearts and our trials. So glad you know Him, Kate! Praying for you from Italia- did you check my blog?? :) Love, Jen Peski

We are all joined as God's children, faithful and not, strong and weak. Difficult times run like threads to and from all of us as we seek God's healing hand in our lives; some physical, some emotional, other needs of many kinds. Sharing our stories and expanding our prayers for each other is good in God's sight.

Loving reading your last few posts, girl... Good perspective and very "you" to concentrate people's attention and prayers towards another on your OWN blog... That was SO "Kate." I'm LOVING the hog-down (vs. hoedown) pictures of Carter's b-day breakfast. Aren't those "You're Special" plates fun? Got mine as a wedding gift from Aimee's mom years ago... As far as the CHEE-mo...ugh...exhaustion and stoppage. No picnic. But if you DO have a picnic during your next round "on," make sure it contains foods with a lot of fiber. Sending hugs this AM.
