Treatment plans till 2009

I have been asked "What are the treatment plans (Tx) from here on out?" (The "Tx" was for you LJ) I am going to lay them out for you. Keep in mind these are the doctors plans so I am holding on to them loosely knowing full well they change in a instant if it is not the Lords plans. I am learning not to hold on tightly to plans with white knuckles. So here we go. Be sure to ask questions in the comments. I will be glad to answer any.

In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.
Psalm 16:9

See oncologist, Dr. Needles monthly with bloodwork results. MRI's are prn (as the doctor deems necessary), lately they have been every other month- basically every two months. My next scan is Tuesday, July 22 at 9:15. If that is a good report Dr. Needles stated that he would most likely spread the scans out. Hopefully meaning every three months. The Temodar (chemo) will be taken at least up till February 2009- 5 days on, 23 off, dosage could change depending on the bloodwork. So in short visits, more visits, even more visits. cancer, cancer, cancerland. I look forward to the day I do not have doctors visits every month. Dave said to me that is how we would want it. To keep track with the cancer. Yes, it gives us a peace of mind. He is correct.

Chat with you later...

Kate, I just want to let you know that we all live with plans of our own, while knowing full well that God truly has greater plans for us than we, ourselves, can ever imagine. Most of us who write do not truly know the extent of your anxiety. We can love you, pray for you, and leave you in God's comforting arms for the encouragement and knowledge of His presence.

Hi Kate,

Good to know the plan; at least the monthly appointments are precautionary in nature! Keeping you in prayer.

Love,
Erika

Kate, It is so good to know what is to expect from here on out. Thank you for the reminder that God is in full control of our days.

Praying for you today.

The previous posts say it all so well....esp. the fact that most of us who do write don't truly know the extent of your anxiety. What we can do is keep praying and lifting you and your family up.

In His Grip,
Sue Stark :)

Oh...I DID appreciate you usage of Tx and PRN in your last post, Kate! Yippie for medical-ese...though I wish it were under different circumstances that you've become so familiar w/ the lingo. LOVED LOVED LOVED seeing you and the kiddos today & watching you "mother hen" your brood. They're all getting so big! We had a joint kids / mom's day out & I loved Kate's literally shielding of Stuart's little eyes, cupping her maternal hand over his view when "inappropriate" previews / ads came up on the screen b4 the big show. Hel-LO...theaters: make the pre-amble appropriate for the audience viewing! You are a natural, Kate...and it's a beautiful thing to see you "in your realm" clucking (not literally), herding w/ gentle feathered appendages, and protecting your three. It was a gift to see you today. Truly. Does that sound corny? Ah, well...if the boot fits, I'll wear it (I said boot instead of shoe b/c we were doing farm lingo after the medical lingo, ya know). Hugs 2 U from ME. Laura Joback
