April news!

After many people asking me about what is going on regarding my care, I just scheduled my MRI a few minutes ago for April the following is what is on the calendar concerning cancer appointments.

My three month MRI follow up is scheduled for Monday, April 12 at 9:45 am.
The doctors appointment with results is Friday, April 16 at 9:30 am.

Blood work will be taken along with the MRI. I usually am okay with waiting for the MRI results. It is hard to believe but I usually forget about the doctors appointment. My days are so filled with home stuff that cancer items are usually pushed aside. Days fly by along with time. The following scripture has been most meaningful to me lately.

Psalm 121

1
I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;

8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

I am and continue to be in good Hands...

Hi Kate! Thanks for the update-sounds like you are one busy mom! Just wanted you to know that I continue to pray for you and I will pray for this upcoming scan/bloodwork- Love Psalm 121- it is one of my favorite reminders of the Lord and His love for us. He is our Helper and Protector. Is it springtime in STL yet? Hard to believe I won't be home until late June....Love from Italia- Jen

Kate: Hey...glad to know about the appt. so I can start praying NOW! :) Peace-that-surpasses can be the only explanation for home life busy-ness crowding out how one would "typically" worry about a follow-up appointment w/ an oncologist about an MRI. But when did ANYbody EVER say that you were "typical?" Ha! Loved the reference to the Psalms passage ... it is one of my favorites too. Especially the part about how He does NOT sleep or slumber. God is God and WE are NOT. And THAT'S why He's such: not-a-good-sleeper...or perhaps I should say: doesn't-sleep-at-all! Ever-watchful, always present. Praying for continued peace for you... Praying for Dave to continue to be the supportive husband and loving father he has proven to be over the years. Praying for Carter, Cole, and Stuart for obedient hearts, servant spirits (to help out Mommy), attentive minds at school, and growth into young men of faith. U R a wonderful part of my world. Hugs 2 U today, my friend! PS: wish the old brain was in more of a flip-top head position where the oncologist could just take a quick look-see and not make you have to come for 2appointments. Hopefully you don't have 2 co-pays. Or perhaps it's buy-one-get-one-free. Or BOGO (buy one, get one half off ... you know: like Payless Shoe Source). Yeah, you're right: probably not. Ah, well. If you have to choose between peace and a co-pay bargain: guess I'd choose peace (...although: a co-pay bargain WOULD be an added bonus to ANYone's week!) C ya! Gotta go pick up Junior Senior! I'll pray for you, as usual, when I drive by the intersection of that "main road" and the one that turns south towards your house...I always do! L Jo (Boy, I got a little wordy there, didn't I?)
