Ta Da I'm Back! Once again it has been difficult to find time and write a blog post. My mom, Gram decided last weekend it was appropriate for her to return to Franklin county in tending to grandpas needs. She will be coming to help in our home during various weekdays- weather pending.
I did have my first round of chemo this past weekend and overall it was not pleasant. I will list some of the unpleasantness below:
1. A good headache on Friday evening.
2. Cramping throughout the five days
3. Rash near bellybutton
More side effects were experienced.
The chemo(Temodar) will be doing it's work the remainder of this month. I am to have labs on Thursday the 28th and see oncologist, Dr. Needles the day after.
Thanks for checking in...kate

It is so good to hear from you! I had/have a rash on my thigh from Temador.... what are you taking for the nausea? I found Zofran didnt work on a higher dose so I took Kytril. Talk to your neuro-oncologist about it if it gets too bad. Remember that chemo builds up in your system...
Love you and continuing to pray for you.

Kate you sound positive, even in the midst of you chemo. I am so happy to hear that in yur blog. I kow you have moments of fear and discouragement, but our God will be right there with you. I hope your symptons disappear, or lessen and I pray for all your family.
You DO sound positive despite the headache, the rash, and the cramping. Good for you! Glad to have heard your peppy self is not tromped upon by your present medication regimen...not that MUCH would / could ever tone down the YOU that we know and love... Why do I like to use "...'s" and "--'s" instead of punctuation like normal people? Hmmm: things on which to ponder. Thinking of you today and loving you (as usual). Laura Joback for the Joback clan
Rest assured that folks in Oklahoma are praying for your improved health. Even though you don't know ME, I feel that I know YOU. That is what is important.
Love & Prayers,

By the way ... Do me a favor ...
Please tell your friend, Laura Joback, that she is using the "dashes and dots" instead of punctuation, because it is more like a friendly conversation that way.
That's my TAKE on using it ... that is what I do in my writing.
Have a HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY everyone!

Hi Kate,
I check your blog frequently, so I saw this entry earlier, but I was feeling sick so I didn't respond at the time. Praying for you, though, even when I haven't left a comment!
Love,
Erika
Kate,
I'm praying for you, too.
