Trusting Issues

Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV version
Having difficulty with trust tonight.
good night, kate

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Praying for you tonight... that God would give you hope for your future.

This is one of my favorite verses of God's going before us in all situations. It can be a comfort to struggling teenagers, as well as struggling adults. All of us struggle in one way or another and keeping this verse in our hearts is such consolation. God is directing your path, Kate, and going before you, with you, and behind you too. He is all- encompassing and never absent from you. Lean on Him, as you always do.

I read this today and thought of you: Psalm 94:18-19:

"When I thought, 'My foot slips,' your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul."

Praying his consolations will cheer your soul.

This touched my heart.. I really needed this scripture right now.

I am praying for you daily, and though I don't comment often, just know that I am reading and praying... and then praying some more ;)

We've been listening to a "Scripture Rock" CD in the car lately...it has a version of "Trust in the Lord" and another of "Fear Not!". So, I'm singing these in my head for you. :)

God is holding tightly to you. He wants you to come to Him with ANYTHING & EVERYTHING. He's bigger than your doubts & fears. You are HIS BELOVED DAUGHTER.

"You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised." Heb.10:36

"You will pray to Him, and He will hear you..." Job 22:27

"This third I will bring into the fire; I will refine them like silver & test them like gold.

They will call on My name & I will answer them. I will say, 'They are my people', and they will say, 'The Lord is our God.' " Zech. 13:9

In His Grip,

Kate:
Got caught up on your recent posts. I love the name change! It is your story, not the stubborn, mean old tumor's!! Here's a special prayer you can say tonight! Hope it helps in bringing you some rest. Stacy J

Night Prayer of a Wife and Mother
Lord, bless the man with whom I sleep
And in Your constant care him keep.
Bless our children as they grow,
Keep them safe from head to toe.
Bless all those in heaven with You
Give them the peace and rest they're due.
Bless all my family and my friends
Help them with means to their good ends.
And Lord, please bless me with sleep divine
To mend and soothe a weary mind. Amen.

Dear Kate,

I pray Psalm 23 for you. May you fear no evil as you walk through this valley of incredible challenge and difficulty. May the Lord lead you to full functioning and quality of life again. I pray your heart will be encouraged to see the small victories every day. He is with you and understands the cries of your heart.

Believe it or not, that verse is the very verse that I have been singing to Elijah each night when getting him ready for bed after his bath. There's a little 1-verse song from back in the 70's...(showing my age) that I remember singing when my parents were leaders of a teenage/college age group of kids in South Carolina...it was neat to see that the SAME verse has been on your heart as well. I'll sing it tonight to him again and dedicate it to you! Laura Joback

Kate,
Here are some portions from this booklet I'm reading from J.C Brumfield.
The diamond must be cut to bring out its beauty, the gold must be refined to bring out its purity, the vine must be pruned that it may bear more fruit, the clay must be molded that it might be a vessel fit for use; and the child of God must be cut and refined and pruned and molded that he might become fit for the Masters use.
1 Peter 1:7 These(trials)have come so that your faith-of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire-may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,who have been called according to his purpose. I wish you didn't have Cancer. I wish that I didn't struggle with depression but God is showing me that he wants to refine us so we can be his reflection to a world who desperately needs him. This is what I've been pondering lately. Still interceding for you. Love you all
Mary Jo

Dearest Kate,

Just stopping by to encourage you, and let you know I'm praying.

I loved the email your OT sent about your blog, and I love the new title.

Yes, this is your story, your testimony of the faithfulness of God.

You are reaching and touching so many lives, mine included.

My son has a brain tumor, a grade 2 and is doing well. He is now 22. He was dx at 16. What a wild journey it's been. But God has been there every step of the way.

Blessings to you and your sweet family. Keep hoping, believing and always HOLDING ON,

Susan

Kate,
Praying for good sleep and peace of mind knowing that your God will NEVER leave you. Despite the appearance of things, God has your life in His strong hands, and He WILL bring good from all of this, Kate.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.....No, in all things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:28,37-39

Rest well, sweet Kate.
