Driver Assessment Part II

This morning at the driving assessment evaluation my cognitive along with physical skills were tested. To be more specific I had two different vision tests. One specific to night driving. They also tested my reaction time with foot pedals. A driver performance test was given by DVD with me answering 40 multiple choice questions. She manually tested both arm & leg strength. After all the above, it was time to go out on the road. Thankfully the snow hadn't slicked the roads.

Although, three recommendations were given, I passed the driving assessment! I should be cleared to drive in the next few days. I think I have to wait on the doctor to sign off.

My mom will continue to help with childcare for Stuart while I complete out patient therapy. Early February, chemo (Temodar) might start. Fatigue is expected. The date & duration have yet to be determined.

Looking forward to a SNOW FriDAY. Not sure if it will be called off. But I sure hope so for the boys sake. Me as well. I was so bummed in the hospital after surgery that a big snow storm came and I couldn't be outside to enjoy it with them. Great picture moments!

Today was a good day. . .

Enjoy God's beautiful white handiwork, Kate. Hope all of you are able to make snow amgels, along with Gram. I know she would enjoy the fun too. Doesn't God give us great pleasures, even amid our trials. I am hoping you will be afforded a Friday snow day with your boys, as well as all the other moms with their girls and boys. Giving thanks that we can all have days of snow, whether or not they turn out to be "snow days."

Way to go, Kate. Congratulations on passing the driving tests. Someday, when your boys are nervous about passing their tests to get their licenses, you can tell them about the day you passed yours (which sounded harder). I'm praying for lots more good days for you.

Kate-
This scripture encouraged me today. Hope it does the same for you. Glad you had a good day. Yeah for snow!!!

Kate,

After finding out about your situation from a mutual friend from high school, I have been thinking about you more that you can imagine. Then, as crazy as things sometimes are, I ran into your sister (who I hadn't seen since HS) in good ole' WashMO and we were able to visit for a little while. Please know there are lots of people thinking about you, more than you even know! Thanks for taking the time in your busy schedule to let us all know how you are doing. You are a very stong woman!

Hi Kate,

It appears that all the local schools have closed, so I hope you have a fabulous day with your dear ones in the snow. As Chris Tomlin sings, strength arises as we wait upon the Lord.

Blessings to you!

Let playtime begin!!! For some reason, I think your boys are early risers, so you can have lots and lots of fun on Friday!!!

Lily helped me shovel the drive late this afternoon. She wanted to go sledding, but I told her there wasn't enough snow, and hopefully Friday would be a good sledding day. So, she was fine just to be outside and shovel with me. :)

Yipee!! Glad you passed!! Yes, your personality shines through...wanting to take the driver on a little joy ride....would've been fun, but probably wouldn't have passed the test.

Lifting you up,
Sue :)
