Scripture for Voting Day

My Bible study leader sent an email today encouraging us with the following. It was a great reminder to me after I studied Daniel (end times) two years ago. Thank you, Sharon.

As we pray about our nation and the elections tomorrow, let’s be comforted and encouraged by the truth that God is in control.

“Praise be to name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and season; he sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.“

Daniel 2:20-22

Good one, Kate! Hopefully you were encouraged by the ones I e-mailed 2 U this AM, too... We're all praying today! No hanging chad, though, b/c the ballot was fill-in-the-oval-with-a-blue-or-black-ballpoint-pen which was a flashback to standardized testing days of yore. What is "yore" anyway? Does it refer to an actual place in time? Does it mean last year OR decades ago? Where was I.... Ah, yes...standardized testing...so ANY-HOO, it reminded me of standardized testing, except we had to use #2 pencils. PS: have you ever actually seen a #1 or #5 or #17 pencil? Aren't most pencils #2? Wierd. I'm quite contemplative today, huh? Ah, well, such is life in me-land... Thinking of you today, Kate! L Jo

Kate, along with our persistant prayers for you and your family I am praying for our country, as we enter a period of uncertainty, and in my case, some fear. I know Who is in control and we must stand firm in our faith.
