Pardon the pause . . .

Lately I have been pondering whether or not I need to focus less of my time on the computer and more of my time on family and bible study. It wasn't rocket science for me to figure out that I need to do just that. Taking naps every other day is difficult enough to accomplish things. I am going to take a blog pause to spend more time on my family. I have been lacking in the cooking and cleaning arena. I am also going to spend more of my "free time" with Jesus.

I will intermittently give reports on my cancer, what God has been showing me and our family fun memories. Let me tell you that I am just devouring the Heaven book along with 1 Kings. OOOOhhhh, are they good or what?

If I say that God and family are a priority I need to live accordingly.
Hoping you'll understand. . . kate

Kate- What a wise choice for a busy wife and mother- I think this is a wonderful idea. Know that you are being prayed for often- hopefully we will see you and your guys as the weather cools off- I think Hunny misses you! Love in Him, Jen Peskorse

Hey--been praying for you through the week of testing, waiting, and frustrations of "doctor-ese" phraseology that would leave anyone bamboozled. Bottom line...yes, MRI's are NOT exact sciences (neither is any other mode of imaging--ultrasound, radiology, CT to name a few) AND God is NEVER bound by said science OR our calendars or anything else we try to categorize or structurize or organize in our lives. Isn't THAT a pickle? Way to go on the choice of family > blog (which is exactly why I'm not a good e-mailer and a less frequent blogger than I was when blogging was all a new horizon for my limited experiences!) The 10-15 minutes used in front of this screen is 10-15 minutes I could use reading to Elijah or playing Chutes and Ladders w/ Isaac (though he tries to go UP the chutes instead of down...must work on that [note to self]). With ya, Kate! In your corner and LOVE sharing your world! Thank you for privileging us with your story, whether daily or every other week between dinner, cleaning, and ball games of every sort! Hugs from all of us to all of you! Laura Joback & family

I'm so glad you're loving "Heaven"...heard lots of good reviews...need to get it myself.

Thought of you when reading this in the CBS Bible Study 1 Kings commentary.

"Congruity means having things line up, acting the way you say you will. Living in congruity with your values promotes good mental health. Making sure your values are based on God's, and that you then follow them, brings not only good mental health but spiritual health, as well. David asks, 'Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in His holy place?' (Psalm 24:3). in other words, 'Who is able to be close to God?' His answer points to congruity: 'He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false' (24:4).

Ask God to help you live a life that reflects God's values, knowing that if everything you said or did was recorded you would not be ashamed."

AMEN! Kate this is evident. Wise choice.

Just wondered who is the author of the Heaven book that you are reading?
