When I sit or rise HE is there!

O Lord, you have searched me
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my
lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue
you know it completely, O Lord.
Psalm 139: 1- 4
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in you book
before one of them came to be.
Psalm 139: 13 -16
At 5:30 this morning I woke up before the 6:15 alarm went off. As I was laying in bed these verses came to mind. I was astounded to have these come to mind. More specifically, I was thrilled to know that "when I sit or rise HE is there". When I am asleep He is watching over me.
What comfort!
Even as my thoughts sometimes overcome me. He perceives them from afar. Ps 139:2b
Have a good day! Kate

Good Morning, Kate!
I'm so glad your appt. went well yesterday with Dr Linette, even if you had to pay for parking! I worked at Barnes-Jewish for 8 years, and I agree that the parking rates can be prohibitive for visitors (and spend-thrift patients!). I'm glad you are assertive and proactive--it really pays off in all sorts of ways.

I love the verses you quoted this morning! It is comforting to know God knows EVERYTHING about us...and He loves us completely!
Have a great day!
Still praying, Tiffani Gibbs

Kate-
Reading the Psalm 139 verses this morning warmed my heart. They are some of John's favorite verses and make me smile every time I read them or hear them. Glad you are doing well and praise God for the good days! John's dad was at Barnes for 2 weeks 4 years ago, so we know the parking struggles! I'd definitely get a parking pass - I think back then you could at least get a weekly pass and maybe even a monthly one at the office in the main parking garage (don't know if that's the same parking for the Cancer Center). Good luck with that and know that you are thought of and prayed for often!
