Lull

Dave and I have had a nice slow time lately. It is a lull in all the cancer rush. We were able to have a date last night to discuss all that has happened and is to come. We both concur that we have a peace. We will be meeting with Dr. Linette on Wednesday the 31st to discuss our options after the radiation. We see two options at this time.

1. Take the chemo after a 3 week break along with the natural compounds for an extended time.
2. Do a "wait and see" approach after every MRI along with taking the natural compunds. If the cancer is returning then start the chemo at that point. There will be much discussion with this on Wednesday. We want to know the effectiveness of the chemo a later date versus directly after the radiation. Hopefully there is some research in regards to this.

There have not been as many blogs due to the nice slow time. It was a nice needed break from all the rush decisions. I guess you could say - No news is great news!

She is happy you are having some quiet and restful times, it allows you to see the refreshing streams of Heaven's Light. We have all been blessed through this experience. This week we have even enjoyed much needed sunshine.
Take care and God bless you all.

Hey Kate,
Today I am at my parents' computer, but still had to check your blog before I walked away from internet access again. I just couldn't stand to not check it!

Well, the scripture I'm clinging to these last couple of days is Exodus 14:13,14
"Moses answered the people, 'Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. THE LORD WILL FIGHT FOR YOU; YOU NEED ONLY TO BE STILL.'"

As you know, God then empowers Moses to part the sea, and the Israelites walk across on dry land to freedom. Hard to imagine, but we know it's true!

God is amazing and powerful, and loves us so completely! I needed the reminder that it's good to be still and trust Him with the chaos and uncertainty in my life....I'm so glad you've been enjoying the "stillness" and the lull lately.
I'll be praying you have a great weekend, and that your Wednesday appt. provides clarity and peace re: your next step.
Love to you, Tiffani Gibbs

I am so glad things are a little more peaceful now. I am praying for you every night and asking prayer for you at youth group, etc.

Sometimes when I have no idea what to think and am just feeling down I read Psalm 86. It never fails to make me cry tears of joy (npi).

Love you!

"So my dear brothers and sisters, stand strong. Do not let anyhting change you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your work in the Lord in never wasted." - 1 Corinthians 15:58

Isn't great that your faith in our Lord is so strong CANCER will not change you, but make you stronger. Love,
