1 AM Update

They have given Kate some minimal pain reliever (Tylenol) and she told the nurse it helped a bit. No change on the left side status.

Kate is mostly sleeping, so I am going to try and do the same.

Dave, We've been lifting Kate in prayer all week, but especially throughout the day today. I'm a night owl, so I'm assigning myself this time slot to pray for you right NOW. If you are not sleeping, I pray for comfort, peace and sleep for both of you. Father restore Kate completely, give her comfort, relief from pain, healing, and restore her left side.

Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I AM WITH YOU; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

I am up with the kids and thought I check on you guys. Thanks so much, Dave, for the updates. They help me know how to pray. I'm thankful for the Lord who never slumbers or sleeps.

I'm sure most blog readers had a restless night of sleep with Kate on our hearts, but that gives us all extra chances to pray for each of you. Thanks for keeping us posted.

Dave, I'm in Korea (13 hours ahead) so I've been able to pray for you all through your night. The Lord will carry all of you.

It's taken me 3 tries and over 30 minutes to get this blasted laptop to boot up, initialize, or whatEVER it's called, but, FINALLY, I'm able to peek in on the Snodgrasses so I'll know how to direct the AM prayers. Dave, it's like you two are living in a fishbowl and we're all gawking at you from outside the globe of glass...thank you for your vulnerability. We love you. SO glad for time zones and 24-hr-round-the-clock-prayer exravaganzas, allowing for you two to be lifted up (or perhaps propped up at this early hour) over and over again. Laura Joback

Good morning Champ, this is your Dad. I just woke-up and read your last two entries. I've been on my knees praying for Kate and for my four Snodgrass boys. I'm sure that this is just a temporary swelling thing but I was hoping we would all wake to the good news that Kate now had full use of her left side. Maybe it will be revealed why Kate has to suffer without pain meds but for now all we can do is pray that our good and loving Lord will heal her very soon.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do. I can be there within a few hours if needed. Just be assured Grammy and I will continue praying and once I inform the Cajun Prayer Team of the situation you can be assured the prayer volume down here will me turned up to the maximum.

I love you so much!

Praying for tremendous comfort for both of you, Dave, for physical rest, relief of pain and return of movement for Kate, for the peace that passes understanding. Praying for your precious boys and for the doctors involved, and thanking God for the privilege of knowing you all and bringing you before the Lord.

Dave, I've been praying for Kate since I woke up this morning, specifically for movement on her left side and for relief from the pain. For you, my prayer is that God will use whatever amount of sleep you got last night to give you great strength and endurance for today. You are both so loved, by all of your bloggers but mostly by our great and powerful God.

Psalm 143:1 with a little customization: "O Lord, hear our prayer, listen to our cry for mercy; in Your faithfulness and righteousness come to Kate's relief."

In Him,

Stopping in again from Atlanta to see how the night went. I pray now that you will have the strength and energy to get through the trials of today. May you both feel the love and prayers around you and lean on them during the day. Lifting you up in thoughts and prayer and still believing God is in control. ~ Christi

Finishing up the 6-7 prayer slot for you guys. It is an honor to lift you before the Lord.

Psalm 73:26, 28
"My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
But as for me, the nearness of God is my good,
I have made the Lord GOD my refuge,
That I may tell of all Thy works."

May you be carried and sustained in the intense love and grace of Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord our Healer

When Roy had a brain aneurysm bleed three times three years ago, Dr. Forget performed his surgery. After going home and doing some research, Dr. Forget came into ICU and told Roy that he didn't understand how Roy's outcome was so good. He was baffled and didn't even have any statisics for why Roy had no side effects. His words were "God must have been watching over you." We are praying Dr. Forget will have the same conversation with Kate very soon. Jeremiah 32:27 -- "I am the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?"

Dave and Kate,
I have been praying for you all week. I have prayed that you have that sweet "peace that surpasses all understanding", that every corner of the ICU room Kate is in will be filled with peace. I have prayed that Dave recieves strenght, and wisdom and comfort.

Dear Lord, Please allow Kate to feel relief. Father I pray that this extra situation will be resolved so that Kate can rest more comfortably. Father, please let Kate's left side begin to move. Give the Doctors continued wisdom. Please let Dave rest, even for a few minutes at a time. For your strength will cause Kate and Dave's weakness to mount up on wings like eagles.

I love you Lord

Father, I ask that your will be done in this situation. I ask that you place your hand on Kate’s heart and the heart of her precious husband. I ask that you calm their spirits and fears. I ask that this be only a temporary situation, and that she will regain full function on her left side. I ask that her personality still be intact. I pray for her boys, Carter 9, Cole Patrick 7, Stuart 3. They are so close to my kids ages. I know how hard this must be on them, I know how Carter and Patrick must feel, my Easton and Elijah are almost the same ages. I ask that you protect their hearts and their minds. Protect Stuart as he goes thru the following days with out his mama. Give his grandma, Sandy, the words to say and strength. I pray for Dave. I pray that you would calm his spirit and give him peace. I know how hard this is for him, for I watched my husband go through it. Please comfort him, and let him know that it is okay not to be strong sometimes. Help him lean on you, and draw strength from you. I pray for my dear friend Kate. Just calm her heart and her fears. Keep satan out of her thoughts. Give her a peace that passes all understanding.

Amen

Prayer Team chiming in...

It would be great for anyone who is able (realizing all of our schedules are different! :o) ) to have some specific, focused, lengthy' (as in 1/2 hour or 1 hour) prayer time in the next 48 hours (or more) to pray for the specifics of getting Kate's left side to move, for reduction of swelling, and for God to reverse any negative effects of the surgery that may have caused this to happen. If you are able, please either contact me (see sidebar on front page of blog for my email address) and I'd be happy to assign you a time period--and of course feel free to assign yourself :o) a time today/tomorrow as it fits in your schedule. I'm not a doctor so feel free to correct me on this, but I feel like these post-op hours are crucial. I know Dave will keep us updated on specific 'physiological/medical' ways to pray.

Keep up the great spiritual warfare praying on behalf of Kate, Dave and the boys!

Dave and Kate,

I have been praying since I got up this morning. This is one time when there are just no adequate words, and I know that's okay. Here instead are God's words.

Ps. 40:5

Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to usward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak them, they are more than can be numbered.

May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting comfort and hope, which we don't deserve, comfort your hearts with all comfort, and help you in every good thing you say and do. 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

Lifting you all up to the Great Physician. All my love.

Jesus, speak restoration into this situation, into Kate's body. Restore to this family what the enemy has attempted to steal. Give strength to Dave's body and peace to his mind. Undergird him with Your strength and power.

I can't be there to sing to Kate, so you can do this, Dave. Not knowing the depths of your musical talent, you may want to read it. . .:)

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, Spread His praise from shore to shore! How He loveth, ever loveth, changeth never, nevermore.
How he watches o'er His loved ones, Died to call them all His own: How for them He intercedeth, Watcheth o'er them from the throne.

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, Love of every love the best; 'Tis an ocean, vast of blessing, 'tis a haven sweet of rest.
O the deep, deep love of Jesus, 'tis a heav'n of heav'ns to me; And it lifts me up to glory, for it lifts me up to Thee.

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, Love of every love the best; 'tis an ocean vast of blessing, 'Tis a haven sweet of rest. O the deep, deep love of Jesus, 'Tis a heav'n of heav'ns to me; And it lifts me up to glory, for it lifts me up to Thee.

Our internet is down (groan) and I'm actually checking this blog at Kinko's...doesn't sound as psycho as it COULD be...I had to come her anyway to copy our Christmas letters. Stacey is supposed to call me on my cell if you update the blog, so I can pray AND praise (that's faith talkin' there) for any changes. All support and prayers for you...Laura Joback

Father God, we KNOW you have Kate and this whole family held tight in Your arms. We praise You, God, for You never sleep...we can come to You any time day or night, and You love us more than we can love ourselves or anyone else. You DO have a hope & a plan for Kate and her family. I pray for healing on her left side right now Father God. I am thankful the doctors said the surgery went well. I pray for complete healing of the cancer and for this whole trial to be glorifying to You, Father God.

In Christ Jesus' Precious Name, Amen.

Dave, I was hoping we'd all have better news today. It's a temporary roadblock but I know God is healing Kate. It's just a matter of HIS timing. We'll just all wait patiently and pray that Kate gets meds and is out of pain!!I'm blocks away so please let me know if I can be of any assistance at all. I'd be happy to let the boys come and hang out, play with Joshua and Nic Nic, go for a visit...whatever you guys need. Just let me know! Praying for your rest and Kate's strength back. Stacy
