Waiting...

I've been in several times to see Kate, no change in status. She is still sleepy (expected). She wants to move out of the ICU for some peace and quiet.

I'm waiting patiently to see Dr. Forget for a more complete update and next steps. Please pray that would happen soon.

I had a decent night's rest last night sleeping on the floor of the ICU waiting area, all of the recliners and couches were taken. I slept from 1:30 to 7:30. Thanks for praying about that.

Fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

Praying that Dr. Forget is on his way. Thankful for your sleep. (A miracle in itself since you were on the floor!) Grace, strength and peace for your day.
Healing for Kate and a quiet place for you both.

Dave,

Even the mailman is praying -- he said he had just been thinking about Kate and wondering how she was. I brought him up to date.

Praying for complete healing, peace, comfort (incl. pain relief for Kate), wisdom for the doctors and staff, and accurate and helpful info -soon- from the doctors/staff.

"But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed...

so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies...

We look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal."
2 Cor. 4: 7,8,10,18

Love, hugs, and prayer from across the street,

"I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. MANY will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord....Yet I am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me. You are my help and my deliverer; O my God, do not delay."

Kate and Dave,
Still praying! I may get in trouble for being online so much, but you guys are worth it!

Forgot to reference the above scripture, though you likely know where it is! It's Psalm 40f
Big hugs are going your way

I pray Kate gets out of ICU fast. They really are one of the noisiest places on the planet and you get some updates asap.

So glad to hear that you were able to rest during the night. I've been praying for quick restoration of Kate's function on the left side, and for you both to be filled with patience and grace as you wait for that recovery.

I pray that you will both see progress that is uplifting, and that her medical care team will continue to provide all the best care with terrific wisdom and guidance.

Dave,

"We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you." Psalm 33: 20-22

"I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame." Psalm 34:1-3

The last time Kate was in our group at CBS, I remember thinking that her face just glowed (radiant!) as she spoke of her trust in Jesus Christ. In fact another class member commented to me later about the "angelic" quality she also saw in Kate's face that day.

Praying for you and specifically for Kate's left side.
