I came here from Heather's blog and wanted you to know that I'm praying for you and your family.

Praying with thanksgiving.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Phil. 4:6-7

Oh, my heavens...one of the silent bloggers blogged! (Judy K.,...I CAUGHT ya!)--see, Kate, you have SUCH an effect on everyone who comes in contact with you (in a GOOD way). Good to hear of the positive progress in surgery! No waiting room would be big enough to house us all if we were all there w/ you in person, Dave, so thank goodness for computers and the blogs like this that let us be absent in body but most CERTAINLY present in spirit! Praying! My staff is asking @ her... (Did you hear anything yet, is she out of surgery?)... Laura Joback

You don't know me, but I am praying for Kate and for you and your boys and family. My sister has had a battle with a brain tumor this year. I know the angst that surgery brings, and I pray for perfect peace and perfect precision and for Kate to be the same wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend when she wakes up from surgery as she was before she went in....only cancer-free. May you all feel the presence of the Holy Spirit and rest in the knowledge that God is in control.
Isaiah 55:8-13
The Lord's ways are sovereign and even the rainy times achieve a purpose...

Still praying that the Lord will guide the hands and the minds of the surgeons, and the decisions of all the supporting surgical team.

Still praying that the Lord will give all of you peace as you await the sight of Kate resting comfortably in recovery.

Still believing in God's goodness and grace for your family!

Psalm 46:1-2
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.

Still praying

Praying.

I'd just love to see everyone's 'to do' list for today, for those that are listmakers. "Pray for Kate" would be on all of them.

I just recieved an email from our church prayer chaing, First Baptist Of Murphy, and clicked the link to read this! You are quite the remarkable family, and your strength and courage is incredible! May the Lord be with you through out this time, and thank you for allowing others to see into this, its an amazing encouragement, and I have been touched!

Dave and family,
You've never met me, but, ever since meeting Kate as a teen, she has held such a dear place in my heart. I have been praying for Kate all through the day and know that everyone else at Valley Park Bible Chapel has been doing the same. I pray for a positive outcome in every way in addition to the Lord's will being honored. You and Kate are such a great example of what trusting God is all about. May HE continue to give you courage, strength, endurance, and faith, day after day.

In prayer and admiration,

Karen Wohlschlaeger (Callan) and family

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

Greetings from the homestead! All is well here. Stuart is still napping, and Jean just left to pick up the boys from school.

I'm thinking of you and continuing to pray boldly. As I wander through your home, I can't help but look at all of the precious memories depicted in your photos. I've seen them before, but they're touching me more deeply than ever.

I am so thankful for the peace and strength God has given you & Dave. What a wonderful gift.

All my love!

Praying for both of you, Dave. So, even if you're exhausted, know that others are interceding.

"Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. ...
He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?"
