1,796 hits on blog

FYI - there have been 1,796 hits on this blog since we started it less than 2 weeks ago. Isn't that amazing? More encouraging to me than anything else.

It has been a great weekend for our family! A long walk with all the boys, in the neighborhood on Saturday afternoon was very good medicine.

Please pray that we see neuro-oncologist, Dr. G. Linette this Monday! Also pray that the pathology report from Barnes comes in at the same time.

Little Stu turns two this Monday as well. Lots going on! Never a dull moment at our home.

We are looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday. We have much to be thankful for. I am glad that the weather will be a little warmer than usual. The bonfire & hayride will be great!

Continue to pray for everyone in our family to stay healthy. No Germs! That would send us and our caregivers in a tail spin.

A Mere Thanks (can only express our sincere gratitude) - kate

Kate and Dave,

We continue to pray for you each day. Wow--1796 hits!I'd be curious to know how that compares to other blogs. Certainly this one wins the prize in many ways.

I've been thinking for a week or so that pretty soon all the blogging you have done personally (not to mention all the blogging others have done--we're hooked :o) ) will result in a beautiful story of God's working in your lives. I think it should be a book. Seriously. As the name changes on the title of this blog, (now known as KBTS), I consider which name you've had would be the best, most suitable book title. :o) Each entry title you have seem like great chapter titles for the book.

An excerpt from our wedding sermon: A theme from Exodus 33: "Who will go with us?" God's response: "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest..." I am praying that you feel and sense God's presence and God's rest tonight and throughout the paddling you are doing in the icy waters.

Dear Kate,
I'm continuing to pray for you and your family. I'm so thankful for how God is raining down grace on you through this dark time. Today with the boys in the neighborhood is an example of that. It's great to sense your joy in the midst of this as you continue to embrace life with passion and enjoy the simple things. THAT is beautiful!

Thank YOU for encouraging me, in many ways, but specifically by including the words to the Ginny Owens song, "If You Want Me To." I pulled that CD off the shelf yesterday, and by last night I had it memorized! How great is it that God can use a song/scripture/whatever, to speak to people in lots of different circumstances?!
Anyway, just letting you know I'm still 'approaching the throne of grace' on your behalf, and I'm praying for a great day of encouraging news tomorrow. Meanwhile, sleep tight, sweet Kate!
(and all the rest of you too)

Kate and Dave -

I've been searching the Scriptures to find you some encouraging verses to hold onto now that you are through one valley and about to climb another "mountain" (chemo). The Lord showed me many sweet words in the Psalms and I hope this one ministers to your hearts....

Psalm 9:9-10
"The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you."

We are praying so hard for your family - that you will truly seek the Lord and rely on His strength, for your boys (young and old(er):), your mom/caregivers, your healing, your upcoming Dr. appointments and treatments.

We love you and are here to help - just give us a holler and we'll be there.
