Final preparations for my family

Please pray for me as I am preparing individual letters to each child (even my youngest). There are so many more in my family that I want to share my love and affection to. I am not sure that I can get to all of them.

I called my grandpa this morning at 6:30. I left him a message that I really wanted to come and look at him face to face and tell him "I love you. I am so glad you are still with us here on earth. I really need one of your poppers right now."

A popper is a special kiss he has given me since I was little. Prior to leaving my grandparents home I would stand on the kitchen chair and he would give me a big popper.

hello kate and family, this is your cousin phillip, my dad just called today to tell me about everything, or I would have had no idea. the blog is great, since getting info from my father was totally useless. I can't imagine how hard this is for you, and everyone close to you, but I know your strong, and doing your best. I just wanted to let you know that you are in our thoughts, that we love you, and that we will be praying for success and a quick recovery. love, phillip, heidi, hannah, and alek.

Katie,
I'm so thankful that your precious family came to the BBC bonfire/hayride. It was wonderful to see you, and it keeps you freshly in my mind and prayers as you journey through this.

We are praying for you in so many ways right now. May the Lord be glorified and you be blessed beyond imagining!

Kate and Dave-
Just heard about all this from Julie Frizzell, and I'm so grateful for this blog and how it allowed me to catch up with the details. Please know that Millard and I will be praying for you now and as the days go by until you are well again!
"You will keep in perfect peace her whose mind is steadfast, because she trusts in you." (adapted for Kate from Isaiah 26:3, NIV)
Much love from the McDonalds

Dave and Kate, know that we are praying for you as you count down the hours towards your surgery. Here is another verse I wanted to share that meant a lot to me : "You, O Lord, keep my lamp burning; MY God turns MY darkness into light." (Ps. 18:28) He is YOUR God, Kate, who desires to turn your dark trial into his light! Much love, Laura and the boys

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.

3 For I am the LORD, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I give Egypt for your ransom,
Cush [a] and Seba in your stead.

4 Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
and because I love you,

Dear Kate:
Our family is praying for you and your precious family. You are a dear woman of God! May God bless you and give you His perfect peace.
With love in Christ,
Cindy Baker
